What Are You Playing This Weekend?

I have no idea what I want to play this weekend. I’ve been so busy waking up early to write on the site, working on super secret project(s) during business hours, and taking two business dinners that I can’t believe it’s Friday. Where the hell did the week go?!?

Perhaps I’ll dive into some MLB 10 The Show to start things off. If my brain can hack it, I’ll move onto an RPG. I still have Dragon Quest IX and Glory of Heracles to conquer.

  1. Zen Pinball. I just bought it and all of the tables on the PSN for just over @20. I love pinball and they did a great job at making tables and adding all of the necessary details.

    Bad Company 2 MP also.

  3. I had a bday this week so Saturday there is a party. Plenty of adult beverages and seafood. All are welcome.

    Sunday killing Lich King and then some more awesome Starcraft 2.

  4. mmm either FF13 or Fallout 3. I think more or less FF13, i borrowed it from a friend and would like to get it back to him asap even though he is obsessed with MLB the show right now.

  9. I drew the short straw and have to review a copy of Little League World Series Baseball 2010. I've already played it some and will give it a few more hours of my time before I turn in a review.

    Also will be playing some NCAA Football 11. I've lost 4 straight games in my online league playing as Ball State, but it was the 4 toughest games on my schedule and I kept it pretty close in all of them despite my team's best efforts to the contrary. My schedule eases up from here though, so I may still play my way into a bowl game.

    This week will just be the usual. Super SF IV, MW2, and Bad Company 2. And maybe some MK vs DC. but thats a big maybe.

    Happy birthday. I've still got a few years left in my 20s so I don't really have anything to say about enjoying the time you still have there, etc. lol.

    I am still in the process of moving, and we still don't have internet or cable (I am still trying to figure out how to get my fix) any suggestions on accessing someone else's locked router?? Not that I would be doing anything I shouldn't be……….

    Hopefully I will be done moving sometime early tonight and then I will be playing offline until I get internet again…Might be getting MW2 since my roommate who has it is going to another place so I will no longer have access to it for free. Maybe I will finally play Bioshock again…it's a possibility I guess. Gotta find something else though for a week or so maybe.

    Well back to leveling up my moving and packing skills!!

    I warned you before that going with Ball State would be difficult. Again though, they might have won those games with the previous season's stats.

  20. @ BSU: Nah, I lost to Perdue and #8 Iowa back to back on the road, and then played the other two live players back to back. They took Central and Western Michigan respectively, the best two teams in the conference while I took the worst. I lost those 4 games by a combined 18 points. By comparison, I feel good about beating a CPU controlled NIU if you know what I mean.

    Go Purdue! That's my other team to cheer for because that school runs in my family. Dad's family is from that area and my mom and sister went/are going there.

    That is pretty good though to only lose by that few points between the four games.

  24. @BSU: yeah, I lost by 3 to Purdue, 5 to Iowa, 3 to CM and 7 to WM.

    My friend Bill who I work on the website with is using Western Michigan. We've played each other in Madden dozens of times and are pretty evenly matched. In his defense over picking the 2nd best school in the conference, they were technically a 1 star school. But if you actually look at the roster they're much better than a lot of the other teams in the conference. He's paying for it in recruiting though because he's only a 1 star school trying to recruit against Michigan and Michigan State.

  28. Happy (belated) Birthday, Smartguy. Ha; all this time I thought you were a wise, old man. Now I know that you're just some young whipper-snapper of a kid. Just wait until you get to my age. Then, you'll really have something to talk about.

    I've finished off Gay Tony (wow, can I set myself up or what?) but I'm still playing it trying to get some of the achievements. I may also play some Halo 3 multiplayer to get a couple of achievements I'm missing. I have Bayonetta, Braid and Fallout 3 in the queue and I don't know which to start next. I also jacked Mega Man 9 from my brother and tried it out for a bit and man, do I miss the old school NES controller. As much as I like the 360 controller, it is probably the worst controller for a retro 8-bit Mega Man game. The analogue stick is way too sensitive with exaggerated movements and the d-pad is the worst thing on that controller. Anybody know where I can get a compatible NES controller that can connect to the Xbox 360 via USB port?

    Here's a tip that worked for me when I was in your situation a few months (years, now, I guess) back: Look for the village idiot that lives closest to you that has a wi-fi network that is not locked.

    I would love to see Ball State play a game that close to Purdue, even if they did lose in the end, to only lose by 3 would be crazy to watch actually happen.

    That was the first thing I looked for, but unfortunately the one person with a router that I am able to find has it locked.

    how much would some of those Miami Heat tickets cost? I mentioned it to my fiance a while ago and we talked about finding a cheap flight down there sometime, also because O have never been to Florida and it would be nice to go somewhere hot once this cold winter sets in in a few months.
