  1. Laugh out loud Sandrock. That silver Slimbox 360 is nice and all but thats the same problem with it. That would be an eyesore for my set up. If this was five years ago when all the t.vs had silver/gray shells it would work for me but I have a black tv and stand so I prefer the black Slimbox 360.

  2. What is that slot on the front? Are there still USB ports on the front or something?

  3. DAMNIT!!!

    This is what I get for being the first one in line for these things. I would have much preferred the Silver Reach-themed one with the game and extra controller.

    Oh well, I guess I can't complain since I got mine for $200 and I don't really need an extra controller.

    @ Smartguy;

    Just like Big Blak said; the slot in front is for two USB ports… presumably for two plug and play charge cords just like the original one.

    By the way, I don't know if anyone else has this model, but whenever I play "Ballad of Gay Tony" the spinning disk is really, really noisy. It's not AS noisy as the original 360, but it is definitely equally annoying. It's so annoying that it sometimes drowns out the dialogue of the game and I have to turn up the speakers to overcome the whine of the console. I have not tried the new console with any other game, but I just wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing this problem.

  4. Yeah I might be interested in this. Mostly just because it is a good deal since I am already planning on getting one of the Slimboxes anyways. Add $100 to what I was already gonna pay and I get a $60 game and a $50 controller?? Sure I'll save $10 on that when I was probably already gonna get the stuff. And besides that might be the only way I actually buy Halo: Reach new.

    This is not quite as good of a deal as the MW2 bundle was last year at about the same time. Mostly because the 250gb hdd wasn't available anywhere else. But this is still something I will be keeping in mind.

  5. i would get this but it's too much right now. I wish Amazon would let you pay on it before the ship date. I could drop $100 every paycheck until release date.

  6. @Ray

    A nice touch indeed. I should have the money for one by the time this special edition console is released, so it should be an all systems go at that point. I'm ready to use the links as well for the purchase. With my wallet being dry lately I have been looking for a reason to use the links soon.

  7. I like the Silver on it, but I think I like the Green of the other Halobox 360 better.

    Well this releases right around my birthday so this is what I'll probably be getting for myself. My OG 20Gb just doesn't cut it anymore.

    Don’t forget to buy a HDMI cable if you don’t have one as well. As I said before, the new Xbox 360 is NOT HD ready right out of the box and it will not work with your old VGA or Component connection cables from your current Xbox. Also, you are going to need a way to transfer your data from one console to the other. Remember that the HDDs are different size. I used a 14 GB flash drive and it did the trick. I don’t know why, but I can’t get my old original Xbox game save files to move over to the new console. Lastly, you need to go on Xbox.com (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/licensemigration/) to transfer your digital licenses from your old console to your new one.

    Let me know how it goes when you get it.

  9. That sounds like a real pain in the ass. I’m glad Blizz and Steam aren’t that damn awful. MS ties IP to an account and a machine. That’s f’n ridiculous. Also asinine to only support 480p out of the box since you market your machine as an HD game center. I’m probably gonna not participate in the next gen. Computer only.
