Apparently it’s harder to build white iPhone 4s than black ones. Apple has explained the delay behind the white iPhone 4 model in an official statement:
White models of Apple’s new iPhone 4 have proven more challenging to manufacture than expected, and as a result they will not be available until the second half of July. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.
Initially I thought the black model was better looking, but after seeing how it’s a mad fingerprint magnet and considering the rarity of the white model…I kind of want a white one. And no, I’m not selling out on my race.
Interesting. I'm gonna get the black one though since my gf wants the white one.
I'll stick with black. I always get a case anyways.
@smartguy Do you know if AT&T will let you buy unsubsidized without a contract? I didn't see that option through Apple.
@Ray
Yes they will. Whether or not the employees are told to dissuade sales to those who do not want contracts is a different matter.

@smartguy Man, I'm almost tempted to ask Zoe buy me a Canadian one when they come out. Those will be unlocked, as will the British version.
@Ray
Not a bad move to do. I'm sure the Iphone sold here will be unlocked in a matter of days though. The only thing though is that I think ATT will require an activation on the devices even if it is month to month so you'd have to add the cheapo data, cheapo voice and the activation charge to the final tally. Given all that, I don't know if it will be cheaper to just buy it and pay the ETF. Depends I guess.
After reading that last sentence, I just thought of something really racist, but in order for me not to appear lost and damned from this site, I will keep it to myself.
Let no man say that I don't have any self control. Ha, ha!
