There’s a trio of interesting games coming out this week. Leading the way is Capcom’s Lost Planet 2, which is perfect for those of you that like shooting giant alien things. If revisiting insane criminals is more to your liking then check out Batman Arkham Asylum: Game of the Year Edition. In addition to repackaging one of the best superhero games of all time, this version of Arkham Asylum has special 3D features. Last, but not least is Skate 3, which seems like the perfect way to prepare for shredding up concrete this summer.
As always, let me know if you’re picking up any new games this week!
Lost Planet 2 is a rental for me. Otherwise, nothing coming this week that I must have.
Pass.
Nothing that I would pay $60 for.
I'll be picking up Batman AA GOTY. I didn't think the original was worth the $60 initially but I would have bought it if they had ever come down on the price to $40. Well they just dropped the original down to $40 and the GOTY is $50 so I am getting the GOTY Edition.
I was going to pick up Lost Planet 2 for the 2-4 player Co-Op but I am pretty sure it isn't "real" co-op its online.
I have never played the Skate series. Tony Hawk games drove me away a long time ago.
Im not much into skating games, so that's out. I'll pick up Batman: AA but not right now. I didn't play the first Lost Planet and honestly it doesn't interest me either.
Some of you should pick up Super Street Fighter IV so we can have an RPad.tv invitational. It's $35 on Amazon!
Lost Planet 2 has already been paid for and PC version of Batman has been 3D capable since I got it last year. Not that I'd bother with the 3D.
@Ray
To steep for a fighting game I suck at, but if you really want to humiliate me I do have the HD one off of Live.
I probably have the most interest in Skate 3 out of that list, but it's more in a negative light. I tried the demo and really was not impressed with the game at all. I felt the same way about Skate 2, unfortunately I didn't try the demo, my fiance bought it for me. The feel of the game was the best in Skate 1, it felt the most realistic and handled the best. Skate 2 and 3 look and feel way too much like a cartoon should. The plot in those games never really caught me after the first one either, that one felt the most realistic. I will still play Skate 1 sometimes, but I think that franchise actually lost me by coming out with sequels.
What I might be picking up sometime soon though is Left 4 Dead 2…I just got the first one a couple days ago and am loving it so far. Wish I wouldn't have passed on this one for so long before.
@bsukenyan
I was the same way with the first Left 4 Dead. I waited for forever to get it and loved it, then I bought Left 4 Dead 2 when it came out and I still haven't unwrapped it. I don't know when and if I'll ever get around to playing it, but I'd like to
