I fondly remember shopping for Infocom games at Babbage’s and Software Etc. when I was a kid. These days, GameStop is the only major videogame specialty retailer that operates nationally. I wasn’t aware that GameStop still used the Babbage’s name, so I was a little shocked when I saw this old brand in a relatively new mall. Naturally, I had to snap a photo.

Originally I thought that was some vintage photo…until I saw the new Link. wow.
I wonder if they still use EB Games?
@Smartguy I've seen a few stores that are still EB Games that have yet to be rebranded. Maybe corporate forgot about this one Babbage's. Ha!
Cool. I used to love Babbage's. I don't think I ever remember buying anything there, but they were always the coolest stores to walk around in when I was a wee lad.
We have an EB games I know of in a local mall and a Babbage's in the Dallas Galleria (or we did last time I was down there)
We have a GameStop in the mall in Tempe that the mall map still says EB Games. It's been that way for 4 years at least.
@SlickyFats @Nightshade386 Sure, but the EB/GameStop merger is a relatively recent development compared to the Babbage's situation.
@Ray: Sure, but they've changed the map for other stores that have come and gone. That's what makes it funny.
Lol we have an GameStop on one side of the street, that nobody goes too b/c the employees really don't game too much I think. Then we have a EB Games on the other side of the street who's employees are actually cool. I haven't seen a Babbages around me in years lol.
The mall behind my fiancé house has new and old. It has a babbages on the first floor and s gamestop on the second floor.
