I’ll be flying to New York for the holidays on Thursday, so this will be my last weekend with my home consoles in 2009. I recently completed my fifth run in Dragon Age: Origins (city elf rogue named Keebler, *snicker*) and I’m contemplating giving it another go. Still, I feel like I should play something else. Downloading Final Fantasy VIII is awfully tempting, but I think I’ll save that for my PSP in New York. What other games of mine need more attention?
Batman: Arkham Asylum and Uncharted 2 are two titles that I started, played for a few hours, acknowledged as great, and never picked up again. I know I’ll get back to both eventually, but this weekend seems as good a time as any. I’ve been meaning to play more Magna Carta, which is an under-the-radar game RPG fans should look at. I’m also tempted to dust off Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 to honor the world’s most famous adulterer. Too bad there isn’t a DLC minigame that requires you to drive around while hopped up on pain killers trying to avoid your hot Swedish wife.
First off, great thread pic. Nothing like curves.
Tonight, I will probably shoot some kids in MW2. I prefer saying shooting kids…makes it more interesting.
Tomorrow…tailgating all day and then heading to the game. Krewe de'Drewe GEAUX SAINTS
Sunday….recovering…shooting more kids and then perhaps some FF8. I don't think I can resist. While it is downloading though, which I'm sure will take well over an hour on PSN, I will play Twilight Princess. I just started it.
@Smartguy Agreed on curves. Women that have curves like a '70s Corvette rule!
Seriously, you cheat on a woman that looks like that with a Perkins waitress, you're a fool…..
@Nightshade386 I still don't understand Hugh Grant cheating on Elizabeth Hurley.
@Topic: Definaltely more Dragon Age: Origins. I hope to get the full 1100/1100 achievement list this weekend if possible. Also, I've got CoD:MW2 coming from Gamefly. I previously rented it from Lackluster Video with a rent 1/get 1 coupon and only had a chance to finish the campaign mode. Unfortunately, my second game at the time was Rogue Warrior, a game so craptasatic I can't scrub it's awfulness out of my head. Anyway, hopefully MW2 arrives today so I can play some Spec Ops.
@Ray
Only explanation is that Liz might have been stuck up and not done certain things…if you know what I mean. Eager beats pretty most of the time.
@Ray: SERIOUSLY. As if she weren't one of the hottest women on Earth?!? And that accent….. which I suppose to Hugh Grant must not be that big a deal, but to me….give a hot woman an English or Australian accent and I pretty much fall over my own tongue. Liz Hurley, Claudia Balck, Kate Beckinsale……dear good….
I'm sorry, Mr. Padilla, but I really didn't pay much attention to the random letters strung together as I did that picture. I'm assuming that you were writing something about … something. What do I have to do for you to keep posting pictures like that on this site?

@Smartguy – I quote Robert DeNiro from Analyze This: "My wife kisses my kids with that mouth…"
But seriously, Tiger fell victim to the Ego Lay. Women threw themselves at him, and he just couldn't resist. What I don't understand are the chicks. He was paying them ~$20k a month to keep their traps shut. Ladies, you are getting paid more then I make for actually working to keep your mouth shut. For $20k a month, I would never have even heard of Tiger Woods had I been asked.
For what it's worth, Tiger Wifey played it smart. Said "Change the pre-nup and I'll stay." Tiger said, GTFO. Atleast now she knows where her standing when compared to his money.
lol
I think that's why I keep sleeping w/ Morrigan in Dragon Age. I keep wishing it were Claudia Black. Now if only I can find a FarScape marathon on TV…….
I'll be playing Resident Evil 5 this weekend. I started it yesterday and I have already beat the hummvie sequence. Definitely going to try and get someone on to play with this weekend. That and MW2. I just can't seem to get anyone to play anything else.
@women
It isn't their accent that hooks me like a fish, it's their ability to talk nerdy to me.
@Playing this weekend – 19 feathers away from Platinum on AC2. So that at some point, as well as more Borderlands, and maybe an early christmas present. We'll have to see.
@ Sandrock
You have convinced me to rework a certain Poison song.
"In the basement, lock the cellar door and baby… Talk Nerdy to Me (rip off Sex Pistols riffs)"
@Sandrock;
For the love of all that is holy, get someone to play as Sheva. Get your wife, child, dog or nearest homeless person to take the controller and play. It is the only way to enjoy the game. And good luck with the final boss scene. It took me hours upon hours to figure it out. Pain in the ass.
@Larcenous:
If only "Ego Lay" would have had access to Dave Chappelle's "Love Contract".

Kobe. Klassic.

@N8R;
I expect a link to the song when you are done with it. We'd all love to hear it.

@ Iceman
I already know how to play it… I just gotta rewrite the words.
@N8R
"Will You Date My Avatar"
@Iceman
I just keep her on cover the entire time. She barely use the shotgun I gave her and the MP5 rarely runs out of ammo.
I just picked up a psp from my blockbuster for $75 because I am going to New york for New years eve, so I probably will be parappa da rappa it up.
@N8R Give Poison a break. That entire album was almost entirely three power chords.
This weekend is Dragons age Socom confrontation Mod nation racers beta Gran turismo demo other than those its a toss up.You guys see the numbers for final fantasy XIII release over a million day one.Damn.

PS not usually into blondes fake or natural but that girl is hot!!
@trikkey
Remember this bud: If you can touch'em, they're real. No such thing as a fake boob.
@iceman
that is the same way i felt about General Ram at the end of the first Gears.
@ Smartguy
Was actually referring to her hair on the real/fake front :) As far as fake tigglebitties I worry about them putting my eye out or chipping a tooth :p
@Trikkey
boobs on the brain. Sorry. Though…if she doesn't have carpet in the house you can't call foul on the drapes.
@ Smartguy
i only windowshop these days so I will never know one way or the other.The lady of the house sees to that.
haha
@ Poison
Those guys are (sort of) from Pittsburgh (except CC)… I can't help but love those guys AND give them a hard time. It's just how we do each other from that part of the world.
To be honest, Eddie Cochran should be credited with the riff in question.
ill be in thanks to 20 or so inches of snow here in richmond
downloaded ff8, of course, prolly give that a go, and i might keep sucking at mw2, depending on how angry i get, and ill definitely keep working on how to extend run on sentences
I bought the ps3 amazon bundle and haven't gotten around to playing too much infamous or killzone 2, so I'll most likely be playing both those games this weekend. I may also get a couple of ranked fifa 10 matches in as well.
@Insomniacswaltz Did you use my Amazon links? :P
I'm hoping it snows like crazy here so that I have an excuse to go on a gaming binge probably Dirt, skate, cod2 (I will beat the sniper section that has been killing me), gta4, and gh van halen.
@rpad
Sadly no, I completely forgot my bad :/
I did pre-order heavy rain using one of your links this morning though
Including $150 of Best Buy giftcards, Nightshade's after X-mas PS3 fund has now hit $305!! Yep, we've crossed the magical threshold of the "retail price point." Now just need to cross the line set by the fine state of Arizona's tax laws…..and maybe a game or two to go with it……assuming they're not sold out until sometime in February…..
As a side note, this is with $0 of my own money. Yeah holidays!!!
Change of plans…..looks like I'll be playing through the first Uncharted this weekend….assuming my system update for my brand new PS3 finishes before Monday…..
Congratulations, Nightshade. I guess I'm next in line. My PS3 is coming early next year. Hopefully before March.
@Smartguy;
I wish I could have recorded the 50+ attempts I made at trying to beat General Raam on Insane difficulty. Some of the fights were epic, others were an exercise in absolute creativity (we discovered a few glitches- none which helped; but funny). But, goddamn did it feel good to finally drop that bastard. I slammed the controller down, took a deep breath and watched the crappy ending, then turned off the console to watch some three-way porn. It was truly the reward of kings!
-M
@smartguy
i really was hoping for an undefeated season for you guys….i hate the god damn cowboys
now we have to hear mercury morris
@ Smartguy
Which thread was it where I said "don't count the Cowboys out".
@ the haters
When your team has 6 Super Bowl wins… then you won't sound ridiculous making fun of the Steelers.
P.S. My new gravatar… is for LarcenousLaugh.
@saints
That was a horrible game. O Line totally got owned. Embarrassing to lose like that at home. However, I am used to mediocrity and am still very happy with the 13-1 record thus far. Now it gets interesting for homefield throughout.
@N8R – damn, comp at work doesn't let me see the Gravatars. Leave it up for the day and I will check it out when I get home… interested to see what it is now lol.
@Smartguy – While I am not sorry for your loss, I am sorry for the disappointment you feel. However, since the Dolphins are now pretty much officially out of the wild card hunt, I can now root for the Saints. Geaux SAINTS…. and Colts.
