BioWare has developed several outstanding games that use traditional fantasy and sci-fi settings. It even took gamers on a mystical adventure in ancient China (Jade Empire). The company has considered other backgrounds, but one you won't be seeing any time soon is horror (or as it's known these days, vampiric romantic teen angst).
