Dead Space 2 Gamescom 2010 Screens

I was very impressed with Dead Space 2 when I saw it at E3 2010 for Shacknews. The game appears to retain the creepy atmosphere and sense of helplessness that made the original so cool while adding new features that round out the gameplay. Check out the latest screens and let me know if you’re interested in this thriller from Visceral.

Mortal Kombat Gamescom 2010 Screens

Mortal Kombat was on my list of games I wish I played at E3 2010, but didn’t have time to check out. The latest screens have me wishing I was in Germany, hanging out with other game writers, drinking large steins of beer, and playing this game. It looks old-school cool! These latest screens feature Cyrax, Sektor, Reptile, Kung Lao, Kitana, and more. Check ’em out!

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Gamescom 2010 Screens

Back at E3 2010 I wrote the following about Namco Bandai’s Enslaved: Odyssey to the West:

Combining action, puzzle solving, and escort missions, Ninja Theory’s Enslaved: Odyssey to the West offers variety, a cool setting, and a dose of Gollum.

The game has a unique look and some fun “imitation cooperative” gameplay. While I’m not as high on this one as Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, I’m keeping an eye on this title as well. Kindly check out these new screens and share your thoughts (like a Care Bear!).

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom Gamescom 2010 Screens

Remember my Shacknews preview of Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom from E3 2010? At the time I said:

Flying under the radar at E3 2010 was Game Republic’s upcoming title that combines Ico-like graphics, stealth, puzzles, and an adorably goofy creature that looks like a Studio Ghibli reject. The diverse gameplay on display was fun and the visuals were a joy. If it all comes together, this could be one of 2010’s sleeper hits.

I’m still looking forward to this game. I think it’s going to surprise a lot of people. For now, please check out these screens of Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom and let me know what you think (please)!

WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 Screens

Here’s fresh batch of WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011 screens — you know, that game with the phenomenal writing? This set includes shots of John Cena, The Miz, Randy Orton, The Undertaker, Raymond Stereo Rey Mysterio, Jack Swagger, Sheamus, Bret “The Hitman” Hart, and sexy WWE Divas. There are no tables or chairs to be found, but there’s plenty of cage and ladder action. Check ’em out!

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Screens

Square Enix sent over a batch of new screens for Deus Ex: Human Revolution…and they’re hot! Check ’em out and let me know what you think (please)! As some of you know, I was bummed that I missed out on a demo for this game at E3 2010. Even though I didn’t get to see the hotness that many of my friends saw, this game is still on my radar.

20 Street Fighter X Tekken Screens

As promised, here are some screens from the upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken. There’s lots of Kazuya and Ryu, with a little bit of Chun-Li and Nina thrown in to up the sexy girl factor. As you can see, the game pretty much looks like Super Street Fighter IV, with some Tekken characters and a tag mode thrown in.

Check out the screens and let me know what you think (please)!

Oodles of Disgaea Infinite Screens

I love the Disgaea series. The gameplay and writing are superb. As you can imagine, I’m super psyched for the June release of Disgaea Infinite for Sony PlayStation Portable. It’s going to rock and the replay value will be so excellent that there’s a good chance it will keep me occupied until Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep is released. That sounds like a great plan! Anyway, eat up these screen shots and let me know what you think of them.

Kratos Returns to the PSP in God of War: Ghost of Sparta

Get set for more God of War action on your PlayStation Portable with Ghost of Sparta. Being developed by the excellent people at Ready at Dawn Studios, Sony has promised to take portable visuals to new heights with this game. Here’s some more info from the press release along with additional screens:

Set in the realm of Greek mythology, God of War: Ghost of Sparta is a single-player game that allows players to take on the powerful role of Spartan warrior Kratos. This new adventure picks up after God of War concludes, telling the story of Kratos’ ascension to power as the God of War. In his quest to rid himself of the nightmares that haunt him, Kratos must embark on a journey that will reveal the origins of lost worlds, and finally answer long-awaited questions about his dark past. Armed with the deadly chained Blades of Chaos, he will have to overcome armies of mythological monsters, legions of undead soldiers, and amazingly dangerous and brutal landscapes throughout his merciless quest.

The game has been given a vague release date of “later this year in 2010”.

I’m totally psyched for this game. I love Ready at Dawn’s work. The company is one of the best PSP developers out there. Chains of Olympus is a great game that a lot of people I know missed simply because they’re not down with PSP. Any of you psyched for God of War: Ghost of Sparta?
