NFL Divisional Playoffs: What You Learned

Since so many of you are big (American) football fans, here’s some space to talk about the latest NFL games. Whether you’re discussing the Denver Broncos’ epic collapse, the Atlanta Falcons avoiding an epic collapse, or Rob Gronkowski’s (now twice-) broken arm, please talk it up in the comments section!

  1. It was a crazy weekend of football but if the Pats dont win the Super Bowl; i’ll be shocked.

  2. I’m going to peg the Patriots for the Super Bowl (again). I just don’t know who’s going to be there with them. I might have to elect the 49ers. And if that is the case, the Pats will get yet another Super Bowl ring.

You know, Big Blak, we’re all getting pretty tired of this. How about letting another team win the Super Bowl that isn’t the Giants?

  3. I’m pulling for the AFC. Can’t stand either NFC team. This season has sucked anyway. Saints were terrible and my fantasy team was just as disappointing.

  4. I learned that apparently the Playoffs still happen even when the Steelers aren’t in them. Who would have thought?

It’s no secret that I hate the Pats, but not as much as I hate the Ravens. If The 9ers win the Bowl, then they too will have 6 Lombardi trophies, and that’s no good.

I gotta root for Atlanta here since the other 3 options make my stomach churn.

      1. Don’t worry, B. The Falcons have as much chance of winning the Super Bowl as the Dolphins have getting into the Super Bowl next year.

  5. You would think my odds here are decent because I’m rooting for 3 out of the 4 teams, but the Pats will unfortunately be tough to beat. I don’t hate the Ravens and I’d like to see them take it because Flacco is a better QB than people give him credit for so maybe getting a Superbowl ring would help. I’ve been waiting for the Falcons to finally put together a good Superbowl run, and I’d like to see Matt Ryan get a ring. Also with three top receivers (Gonzalez, White, Jones) I think their offense should be tough to control. I don’t really care as much to see the 49ers win another ring, but it would be nice to have another team get closer to the Steelers’ number of rings so I have to cheer them on a if they make it this year.
