Rediscovered Red-Crested Tree Rat is Really a Pokemon

The red-crested tree rat hasn’t been spotted since 1898, so scientists were thrilled to encounter one earlier this month. Too bad it’s nothing more than a frickin’ Pokemon! Just look at it. It’s obvious that this thing isn’t a “normal” creature. I’m also certain that it doesn’t call itself a red-crested tree rat. It surely has a cute Japanese-sounding name that it repeats over and over again.

Come on guys. Back me up on this one. Don’t you think this so-called red-crested tree rat is just a Pokemon?!?

  1. it looks like a normal/fire type to me. can I get one and teach it flamethrower??

  2. It's definitely not a Digimon, that's for sure. But a fire-type mouse? Isn't that, like, Cyndaquil? Probably just a normal type.

    1. yeah but he does look a little like a cyndaquil. the red tips on his fur made me think of fire type.

  3. I shall call it: "Tinderodens" from the words "tinder" (a flammable material that catches fire from a spark) and "rodens" (the Latin word that means "gnawing one"). It will later evolve into a "Capyburna" (capybara + burn).

Somebody trademark that and send me a royalty check, please.

      1. Not going to happen. The Heat just need to get into their groove.

… also, bench Mike Bibby for the rest of the year.

Spoelstra to Bulls: "You can't see me." (Either that, or he's about to do a "Spin-a-roonie").

      2. CAN YOU DIGG IT!!!

(even though it's a question, it's still worthy of exclamation points based on how rhetorical the question really is).

      3. WOOO!!! That's what I'm talkin' about, baby!!!! Damn, what a game!

        LET'S GO HEAT!!!

    1. Wow. Somebody is totally in love with the Macho Man.

It's OK, N8. You can admit it to us.

      We won't judge.

(The one where he's behind Vigo and the Power Glove one made me crack up among many others.)

    1. I wish I got to see that game. It sounded amazing — 48 points and only three missed shots?!? The good news is that I had a lovely dinner with a super cute chick.

      1. @Ray

It was doubly amazing when you consider that Durant had 40 pts on the night as well. Two of the hardest guys to defend in the NBA were just on top of their game last night. Some of the shots Dirk made were just unfair to Ibaka, Sefalosha, whoever was on him.

However…tonight…I'll pull for Wade. God I hate Rose.
