Name Nintendo’s Next Console!

Since Nintendo is launching a new console in 2012 and the name “Okama Gamesphere” is already taken, let’s play a game and come up with names for the new console. The company has gone from completely straightforward monikers (NES, SNES, N64) to more unusual ones (GameCube, Wii). What’s next for the company? Will it be something strange and artsy? Or will it be boring (Wii 2)? Share your thoughts and come up with your own name for the system (please)!

  1. I am kinda looking forward to the name that I have seen floating around already.

A console named "Stream" when coming from one called Wii.

  2. Yeah better yet they should just call it the "Wii Stream", with focus on streaming HD media and games.

  3. didnt they originally call the wii, "dolphin"?

maybe just go with that, or maybe they should focus more on getting their country habitable before releasing new consoles…im still totally fine being entrenched in the CURRENT generation of consoles, im too poor to have drop another 600 bones trying not to feel like a damn toothless hillbilly because im not up to date with the newest fancy gadget console thingy…can we just keep the pOs3 and xbox pleasefixme for like 2 more years?

    1. I agree. I HAVE TO buy the newest consoles or I feel like a loser. Not that I would be, I just feel compelled to do it. I would like these to stick around as long as possible, can't afford something new right now.

And yeah Wii was code named Dolphin. I liked it, it seems like a Nintendo name.

      1. I did that with my 360. Bought it when it was new, hated it, sold it soon after. Then the guy ended up gifting back to me many months down the road.

I never have owned a Wii but I did own 5 Wii games at one point. i'd play at friends house but I wanted to try games they didn't like so I just bought them and left them over there. Ended up selling them though because I never played them after about a week.

      2. I thought it was supposed to be called the Revolution at one point to. I always liked that name actually.

    1. Haha.

They'll put out The New Nintendo for 3 months….then they bring back The Nintendo Classic.
