  1. So for as much as I enjoyed Heavy Rain and what is did I couldn't pick it. Same goes with God of War 3. I loved the game but I just didn't feel like it was much different from the rest.

    I had to pick Bad Company 2. I generally don care for online mutliplayer but I have been all over this. I liked the SP campaign though not nearly as much as the original. I tried COD MW2 online but it just felt jerky and not much fun.

  2. happy birthday shockwave

    you are one of my favorite people here, only partly because you have an action figure based name

  3. I just voted for the GOW3. It's been everything i expected and more. Now that i read GWL's review; i'm just hoping not to be disappointed by the ending.

    @HBK farewell

    It was well deserved and i almost teared up to. don't tell anyone.

    @Jon Heder

    i've never liked him. Napoleon Dynamite was different but not ROFL funny. He seemed to bring Blades of Glory down for me.

    @n8r avoiding Big Ben

    you can't really comment on anything when the police are still looking for evidence to even try to convict him with sexual assault.

  4. In the least shocking news of the day, I picked Mass Effect 2. I’m still playing God of War III though and reserve the right to change my mind (however unlikely that may be).

  5. @nightshade
    That was a pretty spot on review by GWL. I think i’m at the flame of olympus about half way through i think. I’m loving it so far.

    Happy birthday shockwave!

  6. @Tokz: I’m about 4 hours in myself. I’m hoping to get a little time with it tonight. It’s one of those games that can not be played around the 3 year old unfortunately.

  7. @nightshade
    Yeah i know what you mean. i don’t have a little one but just the blood and the images would probably frighten 3 year olds. Or maybe they would’ve frighten a 3 year old me.

  8. @tokz: The bigger issue would be having him come into the room and see the plentiful boobage….or during certain minigames that the series is known for….if you know what I mean.

  9. @nightshade
    I see your point. I keep forgetting about the minigame. i guess it’s because it’s always off screen and it doesn’t really effect or bring anything more to the story. It’s more like an after thought to me.

  10. Well, between Aphrodite and her two little friends, there’s always enough frontal nudity on screen during the entire affair to make it not suitable for kids.

  11. i see your point @nightshade. I just don’t notice video game nudity anymore maybe because it’s a videogame and doesn’t really shock you as much as it used to.

  12. I have not played any of these games actually, so I will say that during Q1 of 2010 I am still having fun with Wolfenstein and Prince of Persia is decent so far as well.

    Out of that list though I had to vote for Pokemod HeartGold/SoulSilver because I think that I would enjoy them a lot if I could play them. Those or Mass Effect 2, but I still need to get Mass Effect 1 and play that first.

  13. My silence over the Big Ben situation comes from my sleep schedule being totally screwed up.

    I think he’s being railroaded. I think the man likes random (consensual) encounters with women and the chicks he doesn’t call back can play the rape card from now on. Kind of like the second kid MJ was accused of molesting.

    See, alot of people I know from Pittsburgh say if you want to meet Big Ben, just go to one of the many bars on the Southside on a weekend and it helps if you have nice breasts. He will introduce himself drunk as all hell. Yes, he gets drunk and hits on women. Yes, he scores most of the time (no pun intended). If one girl won’t give him the time of day, he moves on that easy.

    So all that said, I think the first girl made it up because she was mad, and the second girl saw a payday from the first situation. I’ve been wrong before, but this is what just makes sense to me based on all the stories I’ve heard about him since before all of this started.

    and… Happy Birthday Shockwave.

  14. Happy Birthday Shockwave!

    I can’t say right now. My state of mind isn’t on games for once. (I didn’t just cause the end of the world, did I? LOL)
